About Induction Dinners

Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame Induction Dinners

Each summer, the Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame (SHHOF) celebrates the game’s most influential figures through its annual Induction Dinner, an evening dedicated to honouring those whose impact has shaped the province’s proud hockey history.

The Induction Dinners are where the SHHOF officially inducts and welcomes new members into the Hall of Fame, cementing their stories into Saskatchewan’s history with a plaque commemorating their achievements. There are more than 130 inductees and counting.

These banquets bring together communities, families, and fans to pay tribute to the players, builders, officials, grassroots leaders, and championship teams who embody Saskatchewan’s hockey spirit. Since the inaugural 2012 event in Swift Current, the Induction Dinner has grown into one of the province’s signature celebrations of the sport.

The prestigious event also serves a meaningful purpose beyond recognition. Proceeds from each banquet are shared, with half supporting a host community’s hockey efforts and the other half contributing to the continued operation of the SHHOF, ensuring that the stories of our legends live on.

Over the years, the honour of hosting the Induction Dinner has been shared by various communities across Saskatchewan, each adding its own local spin and hospitality to the celebration. From small-town rinks to the world stage, each Induction Dinner honours those who have carried Saskatchewan hockey’s character forward and serves as a reminder that Legends Live Here.
